From caregiver to crafter: A new path emerges
For years, my greatest achievement was caring for the elderly, disabled, and mental health clients. It was a role filled with immense satisfaction, second only to raising my four children. Then, life took an unexpected turn. A workplace incident in 2023 left me with PTSD, severe anxiety disorder, and agoraphobia, suddenly becoming the one in need of care. Through years of therapy, I discovered the profound joy of crafting. It became my sanctuary, a powerful way to nurture my mental health. This journey taught me that there is indeed life after trauma, and anything is possible to overcome.

Finding solace in creation: The turning point
The pivotal moment in my journey with Made with love by Nan was a profound realisation: when I'm immersed in crafting, my brain's sole focus is the project before me. The incessant chatter of anxiety fades away, and my mind remains wonderfully present. This discovery transformed crafting from a hobby into a vital coping mechanism. I choose to keep my brain actively engaged and joyful through creation, rather than letting it succumb to dread. It's a continuous process of transforming challenges into beautiful opportunities, not just for myself, but for the cherished gifts I create for you.
Crafting with heart: Gifts inspired by life
My passion for crafting is deeply intertwined with my personal experiences. As a grandmother of nine and a 13-year breast cancer survivor, I understand the importance of celebrating life's milestones and honouring cherished memories. I pour my heart into every item, from personalised shadow boxes for special occasions to breast cancer awareness merchandise and thoughtful celebration of life packages. The greatest thrill for me is witnessing the genuine joy on people's faces when they receive their order. That priceless moment fuels my desire to create beautiful things for others, knowing each piece carries a story of love and resilience.
